It will be the 20th High Mountain stage, which will be raced over a distance of 203 km, starting from Verres (Valle d'Aosta), Col del Lys, Colle delle Finestre (Usseaux), Cima Coppi, and finishing at the 2035 metres of Sestriere. A decisive stage: whoever wears the Maglia Rosa on the podium at Sestriere will be crowned the next day in Rome as the winner of the Giro d'Italia.
