In 1478 the Holy Shroud stopped in Pinerolo, during the transfer desired by the Savoy family. The holy shroud, at the time kept in Chambéry, was transported to Piedmont to be shown to the faithful. The city welcomed the relic with great devotion, making its passage a significant historical moment. Even today, Pinerolo retains the memory of this event, which links it to the extraordinary story of the Shroud.
