Few pianists share a deep and exclusive bond with Bach as Angela Hewitt, who recently completed her monumental Bach Odyssey, the composer’s complete keyboard works.
Returning to the Sala 500, Hewitt presents a selections from both books of The Well-Tempered Clavier, exploring various keys with a blend of structural logic and expressive freedom. The evening closes with the Partita No. 4 in D major, the grandest of the six Bach’s Partitas.
