With this initiative, the Tancredi di Barolo Foundation links up with the initiatives of the San Luigi Gonzaga Hospital for its 120th anniversary.
The exhibition at Palazzo Barolo offers a selection of about fifty original plates taken from Galloni's production for children, preserved in the Archives of the Tancredi di Barolo Foundation.
The journey begins with the great classics of children's literature published in the 1970s in Mondadori's unforgettable ‘Le Pietre Preziose’ series - such as I viaggi di Gulliver, Il Barone di Münchhausen Giulio Verne's Heroes - where Baciccia's adventures in Africa and the Far West also appear, as well as the volume La tigre a scacchi (The Chess Tiger), which he wrote and illustrated himself, and closes with the drawings he made for the magazine ‘Duepiù’ and for the ‘Junior’ series of the 1990s, dedicated to new Italian and international authors, from C. S. Lewis to Michael Ende, from Francesca Lazzarato to Bianca Pitzorno.
