Gianfelice Imparato plays Don Felice Sciosciammocca, the character made famous by Totò. Naive and small-town, he arrives in Naples to visit his nephew Ciccillo. The young man, supposedly a graduate in psychiatry, has been financially supported by his uncle so he can open a mental asylum, but in reality he has spent all the money paying off gambling debts. To trick Felice yet again, he therefore devises a plan: to pass off the tenants of the Pensione Stella as psychiatric patients. The deception gives rise to comical and paradoxical situations typical of the Neapolitan tradition.
