The exhibition Il riflesso di Leonardo. Sebastiano Ferrero e gli enigmi di un trittico rinascimentale (The Reflection of Leonardo. Sebastiano Ferrero and the Mysteries of a Renaissance Triptych) highlights the important historical and artistic links between the Albertina Art Gallery collection, Leonardo's panel painting in the Museo del Territorio Biellese, the side panels preserved at Palazzo La Marmora and the city of Biella.
The project explores the history of an enigmatic triptych featuring a contemporary, life-size copy on wood of Leonardo's Virgin of the Rocks and two side panels depicting Sebastiano Ferrero and his sons, illustrious patrons and protagonists of the Piedmontese and Lombard Renaissance.
Two rooms are entirely dedicated to the complex historical and artistic events surrounding the panels, whose interpretations are enriched by direct comparison with some works from the Albertina Art Gallery collection, offering ideas for new interpretations and suggestions.
