Now in its ninth year, the Iter Vocis festival continues to be an important opportunity for the choirs of Piedmont to come together and share experiences, helping to build, over the years, a genuine regional network comprising concerts, collaborations and exchanges between groups from different regions and with different artistic backgrounds.
In Avigliana, three ensembles will take centre stage this afternoon: the Lanzo Polyphonic Choir, the FeelArmonia Ensemble from Cuneo and the Choral Association Ora è tempo di Gioia from Turin, groups that differ in terms of their origins and artistic identities, yet are united by a passion for singing and a desire to share a rich and varied musical heritage with the audience.
The programme will span sacred and secular repertoire, ranging from the works of the great classical composers to contemporary literature, from folk and singer-songwriter music to songs from the folklore of the five continents: a variety that reflects the festival’s commitment to bringing together different cultures, sensibilities and traditions.
