An afternoon dedicated to the many facets of Japanese culture, spanning tradition and modernity, martial arts, manga, cosplay, K-Pop, crafts, traditional embroidery, creativity and Beyblade.
• 3pm: Stefano Labbia, writer, author and screenwriter, presents the EuroManga Dragon Way
• 3.30pm: a demonstration dedicated to the martial arts tradition and the educational spirit of Aikido
• 4pm: cosplay session with Mythos Community, featuring a parade and performance dedicated to the myths and characters portrayed
• 4.30-5.30 pm: Master Matteo Brianti and his students take you on a journey of discovery to the small island in the archipelago south of Japan where the martial arts that today unite millions of people around the world originated, Okinawan karate and kobudo
• 5.30pm: K-Pop performance by Yeol Moonson / Moon&Sun Crew
During the afternoon, you’ll have the chance to meet Samantha Scuri, a manga-style artist, illustrator and teacher; Giulia fa le cose with her handmade and crochet creations; and Ile, who will be presenting Sashiko, a traditional Japanese technique of geometric embroidery.
You’ll also be able to admire the Amigurumi by Sara Tasca and the themed bookmarks, postcards and fan art by Barbara Sirtoli, created using Indian ink and watercolour techniques, as well as her graphite and charcoal drawings.
There’ll also be space for fun with Steel Fangsevents, who will be organising a Beyblade tournament.
