The Drum Theatre project stems from an idea by Sergio Cherubin, an artist and drummer who has been working as a freelance social entrepreneur for over twenty years. His work draws on expressive forms such as theatre, clowning and sound, utilising the vibrations of drums and everyday objects – often recycled – which are transformed into musical instruments.
