A journey through Italian folk music, as seen and heard through the voices and perspectives of women past and present.
Le Madamè – four female musicians who sing in harmony, accompanying themselves on the accordion, guitar and percussion – bring traditional songs from the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries back to the stage: songs of labour, love, resistance, hope and solidarity.
The concert blends research with new arrangements, alternating intense, intimate moments with lively rhythms that invite the audience to sing, dance and share in the experience. A repertoire rooted in collective memory which, through the sensitivity of the four musicians, is brought back to life in the present.
Erica Molineris on lead vocals, Claudia Danni on accordion, guitar and backing vocals, Elena Chiaramello on accordion and backing vocals, Anna Chiapello on percussion and backing vocals.
