Miradolo Castle is hosting a day of events for all ages, offering the chance to enjoy the outdoor spaces amidst nature, local flavours and a summery atmosphere.
The day begins at 10.30 am with ‘My Corner of the Castle’, a workshop from the ‘Children’s Sunday’ series aimed at children aged 6 to 10. This activity invites participants to become young architects, designers and artists, imagining new ways of living and reinventing the castle’s spaces: by creating pop-up rooms, the children will be encouraged to reflect on the value of restoration and creativity, drawing inspiration from the history of Miradolo Castle and the regeneration project undertaken by the Cosso Foundation.
At 4.30 pm, a guided tour of the castle and the historic park is scheduled, led by educator and museum guide Elena Tortia: a tour that takes visitors on a journey of discovery through the history of the monumental complex, the restoration work carried out over the last eighteen years that has restored its historical and architectural value, and the historic English-style landscape park, the design of which has recently been attributed to the renowned landscape architect Xavier Kurten.
The event concludes at 8.30 pm with the ‘Picnic of Wishes’, a summer evening to be enjoyed in the historic park amongst monumental trees and a starry sky: the picnic basket offers a selection of local produce to be savoured in the open air, whilst those who prefer may choose the Merenda Sinoira at the Bistrot del Castello.
