Tragedy by Euripides with Germana Erba's Talents, Patrizia Pozzi and Stefano Fiorillo.
Two millennia later, this classical masterpiece retains its explosive power: a radical cry of protest against war and all forms of power exercised by man over man.
A war seen through the eyes of the defeated, in a tragic parade of women who scream their loneliness in the spiral of death they are forced to endure. Hecuba, Andromache, Cassandra: an elderly queen deprived of her throne, a devoted widow whose only son and heir to the throne is killed, and a daughter considered by all to be mentally ill. Three deposed queens. They are ghosts, skeletons emptied of their souls. Above all, there hangs the trauma of being uprooted from their family affections and the sad departure to a distant place that has the flavour of slavery and death. Above all, there hangs the mythical figure of the beautiful Helen, who cries out for justice and repeatedly considers this war to be the result of the divine will of the gods.
