Liricamente Protagonisti

Unforgettable characters from literature to opera.

A reading by Alice Fumero, with music by Busoni, Clementi and Czerny performed on the piano by Maestro Matteo Costa.

Opera is brought to life by unforgettable characters who, having spanned the centuries, still lead us today into the depths of our psyche: from the famous cigarette-seller Carmen, born of Prosper Mérimée’s novel of the same name, to the shrewd and resourceful Figaro from *The Barber of Seville* written by Beaumarchais, via the abandoned Dido of classical mythology.

These characters will accompany us on a journey through literature and music, through wit and cynicism, through despair and tenacity, through love and death…
