The new permanent Munlab-T2D exhibition space opens on Saturday 10 October at 5.30 pm with the exhibition Memorie Meccaniche. A material archive.
The new industrial archaeology exhibition features the machines from the Fornace Mosso Paolo di Santena, donated to Munlab, and finds its ideal location in the space connecting the ecomuseum to the active factory. It will be accompanied by a photographic exhibition created with the Circolo Fotografico Autofocus of Cambiano, documenting the quarry, its transformations and the clay material and two video spaces documenting the history of the place and the technological development in brick production.
The exhibition is the result of a project designed to safeguard and enhance the heritage associated with the historic kilns of Cambiano and Pianalto, restoring productive memory to the community and the local area.
Mechanical Memories. A shared material archive has received the contribution of the CRT Foundation and the support of T2D, the patronage of the Metropolitan City of Turin, and the use of the Turismo Torino e Provincia logo.
Project partners are: Comune di Cambiano, Comune di Pecetto Torinese and Comune di Santena, Fondazione della Comunità Chierese, Consorzio Chierese per i Servizi, Circolo Fotografico Autofocus di Cambiano
