The Regional Museum of Natural Sciences of Torino invites you to the inauguration of the second edition of the Michele Lessona© Science Communication Award, a must-attend event to explore science through the voices of its leading figures.
The theme of the 2026–2027 edition is Currents of the future: flowing, connecting, protecting. Oceans, rivers, and canals; how climate change affects aquatic biodiversity.
For this opening evening, the Museum houses Mariasole Bianco, one of the leading experts in marine conservation and environmental communication, who will deliver a lecture titled Planet Ocean: deep down, we are the sea.
The ocean covers over 70% of our planet's surface, regulates the climate, safeguards extraordinary biodiversity, and makes life on Earth possible. Yet, we still know so little about this immense blue world from which everything originates.
A journey blending science, wonder, and sea stories to discover the secrets of the ocean, understand how closely our lives are tied to its health, and reflect on the role each of us can play in protecting it.
