Early music is once again being performed in one of the most evocative and significant venues in the Piedmont region: the historic, recently restored parish church of San Pietro in Vincoli in Settimo Torinese takes centre stage in a mini-festival dedicated to medieval music, designed to highlight the historical, artistic and spiritual heritage of the Romanesque complex through the convergence of architecture, history and sound.
The three scheduled events will take the audience on a journey through the musical culture of the Middle Ages: from the Italian courts of the 14th century to the sacred and secular repertoires of the European tradition, right through to instrumental performances on faithful replicas of historical instruments.

• 6 November – Stella Splendens. The Sacred and the Profane in Medieval Music, Collegium pro Musica (Stefano Bagliano on recorders and conducting, Luca Dellacasa on vocals and portative organ, Alessia Travaglini on the viella, Francesco Olivero on the lute
