On Saturday, May 10 and Sunday, May 11, the Night of the Muses returns to Pinerolo, an annual event featuring Pinerolo's museums in a two-day event and performance, free and open to all.
The theme of the 2025 edition, “Novelle per una notte... e un giorno”, draws inspiration from the evocative world of words, storytelling, and fantasy. The genre of the novella, whose father is unanimously considered by literary critics to be Giovanni Boccaccio, whose 650th year since his death falls.
The Museums welcome the challenge of creating displays and events inherent to a chosen narrative with read aloud excerpts by students from the Liceo Scientifico M. Curie high school in Pinerolo, coordinated by the LaAV Association.
Museums involved: Pinacoteca Civica d'Arte, “M. Strani” Educational Museum in Villa Prever, Diocesan Museum, Museo del Mutuo Soccorso, Museo della Cavalleria, Alliaudi Library and the new Center for the Interpretation of the Territory
On Sunday, May 11, in the afternoon, an additional surprise in the programming: a step-by-step itinerary in medieval Pinerolo, in which the theatricalization of actors from the Mellon Theatre Association will help us learn more about some of the authors of the novella genre.
