Paratissima Foolish

For its 22nd edition, Paratissima invites artists and the public into a grand contemporary courtyard: the Real Collegio Carlo Alberto in Moncalieri is transformed into a stage for unexpected visions and perspectives, capable of interpreting the present from different angles.

We live in an age marked by wars, polarisation, crises, and an overload of images and information: a present that demands swift answers to increasingly complex questions and which, all too often, accepts things without questioning them.

This is where the Fool enters the scene: an unconventional figure, capable of challenging certainties, conventions and dominant narratives, transforming doubt into a tool for freedom and knowledge.

Like fools, artists observe the world from oblique perspectives: they do not merely represent the present, but question it, rewrite it and reveal what often remains hidden behind habit and conformism. With over 400 artists taking part in exhibitions, installations, performances, talks and workshops, Paratissima creates a space open to a plurality of perspectives, dialogue and complexity.

And the public, too, is invited to enter the court, to set aside their certainties for a moment, allow themselves to be surprised and observe the world from a different perspective.
