Paths of Paradise

An hiking weekend in early autumn to admire the 'Highlands' of the Gran Paradiso National Park before Winter closes in on them.

The warmer light, the silence and the tranquillity of this transitional season will give us wonderful opportunities to observe the park’s wildlife as it prepares for the most challenging test of the year: surviving the winter.

You will be accompanied by an Official Park Guide along two of the most beautiful trails in the Upper Orco Valley: we will partly follow the Royal mule tracks in the area between Chapili and Colle del Nivolet, and we will also climb to an altitude of over 2,600m, covering a total elevation gain of approximately 450-750 m; short steep and somewhat stony sections may be present on all routes: a minimum of previous hiking experience is required.
