Torino welcomes Gunter Demnig’s Stumbling Stones (Stolpersteine) who will be laying 6 new stolpersteine 23rd January
The artist produces small brass plaques set on concrete cubes that are then inserted into the pavement in front of the last home freely chosen by the victim. Each plaque bears ’Here lived...’, the name of the victim, date and place of birth and death/disappearance. More than 90,000 stones have been laid throughout Europe.
