The premiere in the Lanzo Valleys of the new musical theatre production by the Scavalcamontagne Company, now on its seventh tour of the Valleys.
The Scavalcamontagne project is the brainchild of Irene Geninatti Chiolero (mezzo-soprano) and Danilo Ramon Giannini (actor and performer), who, during the COVID pandemic, proposed a travelling theatre format capable of overcoming the barriers imposed by the virus.
Thus was born the idea of travelling on foot from one performance venue to another, to stage witty and lively performances, held mainly outdoors, in front of a diverse audience in search of ‘profound lightness’.
And this is the defining feature of the show *Primo appuntamento*. The performance, described by one critic as a narrative capable of opening up “a full and genuine lyrical glimpse, the sort that takes you by surprise”, falls within the genre of musical theatre typical of *Scavalcamontagne*, exploring with irony the anxieties of a romantic encounter.
