Rest to Fest is a multidisciplinary cultural festival taking place across District 7 of Torino, which explores the deep connection between mental health and the environment. It stems from the belief that looking after oneself and looking after the planet are deeply interconnected: this is why it focuses on sustainability without anxiety and wellbeing without judgement.
The programme, which includes talks, screenings, workshops, music and geocaching, was co-created with the public through a participatory process that enabled them to choose some of the main events together.
• Friday 2, CasArcobaleno - 6pm: World Café on the link between mental health and the environment; 8pm: participatory film screening, a film chosen collectively which will remain a secret until the evening itself
• Saturday 3, Ex-Trillo - from 3pm: Sustainable Moves, nature-themed board games; 3pm and 5pm: craft workshops Ephemeral Art using natural materials and From Forgotten Garment to Tote Bag to transform an old item of clothing into a bag; 6.30pm: Dirty Talks, a talk on anxiety in relationships
• Sunday 4, Colletta Park and Kontiki - 10am: Amalgària by AleVic Project, an experience blending theatre and music; 3pm: Bingo dell’invisibile to observe nature with fresh eyes; 5pm: a talk with Cactus Psicologia and the Scuola Popolare di Salute Mentale; 8pm: closing concert with Guido Acquaviva and an aperitif-dinner
Geocaching Piemonte will be bringing the festival to life with two special events to discover geocaching: on Saturday in the courtyard at Via Manin 20 and on Sunday at Colletta Park.
Some activities require reservation.
