The Canestrello is a typical golden-coloured cake of ancient origin, baked in heavy cast-iron irons handed down by the families of Vaie.
During the festival there are food and wine and cultural events of great appeal, such as the Gold Canestrello contest, in which anyone who wants to show off their culinary skills can participate.
