As part of the Salone Off 2025, an event with artist Sara Sallam and curator of the Museo Egizio Paolo Del Vesco.
A talk in which the Egyptian artist discusses themes in her work such as uprooting and the dispersion of cultural heritage and the construction of an empathetic relationship with objects as a means of healing the wounds of a colonial past.
Through the story of her work, in particular the installation created for the Egyptian Museum in 2024, she will reflect on collections of diasporic origin, the return of objects to their contexts of origin, and the role of museums that today seek to confront their own history.
The talk will be in English with simultaneous translation in the hall. Afterwards, visitors will be free to visit the artist's installation and the Gallery of the Kings.
