The scarecrow (SCARECROW) as a figure, a guardian, a presence that defends a living territory from external aggression and attacks.
It is passive, it does not attack or react, but through its mere presence it has the task (as it always has) of protecting what exists and existence itself. It is made in an emergency, with whatever is at hand. With whatever is found where it will stand. It is cobbled together from the scraps and debris of life. The scarecrow was created to defend the harvest from those who plunder without sowing. Today, that field is no longer just agricultural: it is the world. The scarecrow is the work of art, but it is also the artist: it is the Guardian.
