The courtyard of Adelaide Castle is preparing to host an intense and surprising evening of theater with the show Seniloquio.
Written, directed, and performed by Virginia Risso, with the participation of Valsusian actor Matteo Bianco, it is an original theatrical work that mixes irony, satire, and poetry. The idea stems from a curious New Zealand scientific study on the female breast: eight conclusions, as unexpected as they are unusual, become the dramatic inspiration for a broader reflection on the body, the passing of time, and the social stereotypes that often influence our perspective.
The show takes the audience on an emotional roller coaster: we laugh heartily, we recognize ourselves in the tics and fragilities portrayed on stage, but we also pause to reflect on the power of taboos and the importance of looking at them with different eyes. Virginia Risso manages to combine lightness and depth, creating a theatrical script that is irreverent without losing its delicacy. Alongside her, Matteo Bianco—actor and founder of the microTEATRO school and company in Susa—enriches the staging with his experience and stage presence, bringing the show even closer to the local audience.
Seniloquio is a theatrical journey that intertwines comedy, social satire, and poetic moments: a universal reflection on the relationship with the body and with time, which becomes both intimate and collective.
