Sentieri Tolkieniani 2026. Middle-earth Festival

Associazione Culturale Sentieri Tolkieniani ETS considers accessibility an integral part of its cultural mission. The festival offers free admission to holders of the European Disability Card and to one companion. Over the years, it has promoted initiatives designed to support inclusive participation, such as braille panels along themed routes and LIS interpreting services for selected programme events.

As the event takes place in a historic and partly natural setting, within the Castle of Macello and its park, accessibility may vary depending on the area. Visitors with specific needs are invited to contact the staff in advance in order to receive up-to-date information and support for their visit.

Sentieri Tolkieniani is also designed for families, with activities suitable for children, teenagers and adults. The event offers workshops, shows, themed routes, scenic areas, games and entertainment designed to involve audiences of different ages in a shared experience.

Admission is free for children aged 0 to 5, while a reduced fare is available for children aged 6 to 12. Minors must be accompanied and supervised according to the event’s access conditions. Families will also find food and refreshment areas, outdoor spaces and activities designed to let them enjoy the festival in an engaging and immersive way.

Sentieri Tolkieniani also pays attention to the relationship between people and animals, both through activities and demonstrations that highlight their presence and by allowing visitors to attend with their own pets.

During the festival, activities involving horses and birds of prey are planned. These will be included in the programme in a controlled way and managed by qualified operators, with respect for animal welfare and public safety.

Visitors may enter the event with their own pets, in compliance with current regulations and the instructions provided by the organisers. Dogs must be kept on a leash; owners must carry a muzzle, to be used if necessary or requested, and are responsible for supervising their animal and cleaning up after it.

Due to the possible presence of other animals, performances, music, crowds and busy areas, visitors are invited to carefully consider their pet’s wellbeing during the visit.
