To give you an idea of this show, imagine for a moment that you’re not sitting in the rows of a theatre auditorium but in a train compartment. A rather reckless train, because it’s being driven by an actor who’s also a director: a lanky chap with a sharp profile, Sergio Rubini.
On previous occasions, though only on the big screen, he has told you stories of trains, tracks and small stations in remote places. The conductor tells us that the reason for the journey we are on is the SOUTH, but not even he knows where we will end up. In the South? It’s likely, but it could also turn out differently. In short, the destination is uncertain. And the train’s route is uncertain too.
Right from the start, you’ll have the feeling of having travelled vast distances in the space of just a few minutes.
Text and narration by Sergio Rubini; music and piano by Michele Fazio.
