Scheherazade is the woman who saves the world through storytelling. The narrator of *One Thousand and One Nights*, she has become legendary as the architect of a fragile yet daring plan, a director of the imagination, and the guardian of an ancient wisdom: using stories as the sole antidote to death.
Even today, night after night, a story can postpone our doom, saving – at least for a moment – both the listener and the speaker.
On stage, alongside the tales that come to an end before dawn, musicians from the most prestigious opera and symphony orchestras.
Written and performed by Lucia Margherita Marino with the Torino Sinfonietta; symphonic suite by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov.
