Solo by Pepijn Ronaldo

The First Part of the Season opens with the Italian preview of Solo, created and performed by Pepijn Ronaldo, who takes to the stage alone for the first time, embarking on a deeply personal exploration of his own artistic voice through dreams, expectations, doubt, fear, joy and vulnerability.

Pepijn carries with him a family history spanning seven generations of comédiens. Having grown up on the stage of Circus Ronaldo and trained at the Ecole Internationale de Théâtre Lassaad, he has performed in Applaus, Da Capo and Sono io?, the latter created together with his father Danny Ronaldo and for which he received the Acteursgilde Best Actor award in 2022.

At the heart of Solo is precisely the relationship between what we inherit and what we choose to become. After an artistic journey inevitably shaped by the people and traditions surrounding him, Pepijn is now seeking a path of his own. The performance thus becomes a balancing act between his own dreams and the audience’s expectations, as well as a conversation between performer and spectator about what we are really looking for on stage: virtuosity and gags or, behind all of this, the human being.

The performance is suitable for audiences aged 5 and over.
