The National Cinema Museum is bringing the exhibition "T. rex vs. T. rex to the heart of the Mole Antonelliana. From fossils to cinema icons", this is a spectacular exhibition: two T. rex skeletons will be assembled and displayed facing each other in a unique museum installation, transforming the Aula del Tempio into a spectacular meeting ground between palaeontology and cinema that tells the story of how the most famous and feared of all dinosaurs has captured the collective imagination. The presence of the two dinosaurs has been made possible thanks to a collaboration with Theatrum Mundi gallery, which has also provided a selection of the objects on display.
Science and fiction, wonder and terror, artefacts and images intertwine in a journey spanning over a century of cinema and visual culture, demonstrating how a creature that became extinct tens of millions of years before the appearance of humankind has become one of the most recognisable and powerful figures on the big screen.
