Terra e polvere (da sparo)

A single actress, many faces and a story of exile: masks become the means of telling the stories of lives forced to leave their homeland.

The Teatro Incontro in Pinerolo is staging *Terra e polvere (da sparo)* (Earth and Gunpowder), written by Vene Vieitez and starring Cecilia Scrittore.

Through rapid character changes, physical theatre and vocal work, the production tackles war, uprooting and loneliness: minimal stage design and a soundscape accompany a fictional narrative that echoes many real-life experiences.

At its heart lies life’s capacity to endure and start afresh, even when hatred and violence seem to have wiped out every possibility.
