The Agricultural and Workers’ Mutual Aid Society of the hamlet of Muriaglio in Castellamonte is organising three afternoon literary events, each of which will conclude with a brief social gathering.
• Sunday 20 September – Sandra Baruzzi and Maurizio Bertodatto present ‘Traditions of Identity: Montalto Dora Savoy Cabbage – Castellamonte Ceramics: Excellence from the Canavese’, a journey exploring the distinctive specialities of two towns: Castellamonte with its ceramics and Montalto Dora with its Savoy cabbage. A bond that is now more vibrant than ever, capable of fostering an extraordinary synergy between culinary art and high-quality ceramic craftsmanship. The link between ceramics and food is ancient and enduring, sharing the same ingredients: earth, water, fire and air. Ceramic stoves and pots become tools of a cuisine that is also a visual narrative, where food design meets food styling
