Exhibited for the first time are a number of Anatolian and Persian kilims, two Japanese kakemono as well as a tapestry from Central Asia, precious textile artifacts, and souvenirs from the travels that Prince Scipione Borghese (1871-1927) made in the early twentieth century.
An aristocratic officer who graduated from Torino Military Academy, where he perfecte topographic drawing, Scipione Borghese was a passionate climber, traveller, and collector. He is famous for his victory with the Itala in the 1908 "Peking to Paris" race.
