Design as a driving force for cultural, social, environmental and technological innovation through exhibitions, talks and workshops
A new biennial event dedicated to design is launching in Torino, featuring exhibitions, talks and workshops as part of Torino’s activities as a UNESCO Creative City of Design.
The initiative, coordinated by the Polytechnic University of Turin, is organised by the City of Torino and involves the main institutions in Piedmont (the Piedmont Region, the Polytechnic University of Turin, the Turin Chamber of Commerce, the Turin Industrialists’ Union, the Compagnia di San Paolo Foundation, the CRT Foundation, API Turin – Association of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises of Torino and the province of Torino, and CNA Turin).
This first pilot edition, scheduled to take place from 8 to 31 October 2026 at the MacA – Museo A come Ambiente and at other venues across the city, is dedicated to ‘Tangible Transitions’, with a particular focus on ecological and environmental issues. The aim is to demonstrate how design, when applied across different scales and sectors, can transform complex scenarios into concrete, accessible and shared solutions.
All exhibitions, talks and activities are free to attend, subject to availability,
