ATTS, together with the Turin Transport Group, is celebrating its twentieth anniversary with the nineteenth edition of the Turin Trolley Festival, which will take place in the city centre on Sunday 7 December from 10 a.m. to 6.30 p.m.
The Trolley Festival will be centred in Piazza Castello, where the ATTS gazebo will be open to provide information to the public. Between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. and between 2.30 p.m. and 6.30 p.m., numerous historic trams will be available to the public on special routes, with boarding and alighting in Piazza Castello.
The highlight of the Trolley Festival will be, between 12 noon and 1 p.m., a grand parade with the participation of all available vehicles from the historic fleet (trams and buses), supplemented by modern, special and service trams, for a total of at least 25 vehicles. The route will wind its way at walking pace from Piazza Statuto (assembling along the ring of tracks in the square) to Corso San Martino, Piazza XVIII Dicembre, Via Pietro Micca, Piazza Castello, Via Po and Piazza Vittorio Veneto. The historic tram line 7 will be suspended between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. to allow the parade to take place.
