Music & Shows

Three concerts featuring the RAI National Symphony Orchestra conducted by Estonian Anu Tali, together with internationally renowned soloists.

Tuesday 28th - Enigmas, Soundscapes and a Rising Star.

Alongside famous symphonic masterpieces by Grieg and Elgar, the evening will feature the Italian premiere of Violin Concerto No. 7 by Ukrainian-American composer Alexey Shor: his music, often described as neoclassical, combines lyrical melodies with a deep harmonic tradition, offering listeners a vibrant and emotional experience. His new concerto, rich in virtuosity and expressive nuances, will be performed by Giuseppe Gibboni, a rising star among contemporary violinists.

Wednesday 29th - A Journey Through Time: from Romantic Introspection to Contemporary Hope.

A programme that intertwines sonatas by Schubert, Grieg, Franck and Shor in a unified musical arc, a dialogue between past and present in which each composer uses the sonata form as a means of personal expression. Schubert's luminous lyricism opens the evening with an introspective gaze that finds a contemporary echo in Alexey Shor's Sonata No. 2, a reflection on timeless themes: loss, desire and the enduring hope for beauty in a fragmented world. At the heart of this performance are two extraordinary artists, legendary pianist Mikhail Pletnev and emerging violinist Daniel Lozakovich, in a rare meeting of generations.

Thursday 30th - Romantic Resonances: East, West and Beyond.

Two piano masterpieces and a symphonic gem in an evening that explores the evolution of Romantic expression through the centuries. Critically acclaimed for his elegance and masterful technique, Arsenii Moon is rapidly establishing himself as one of the most brilliant and individual voices of his generation.
