The 2025 edition of the Due Laghi Jazz Festival brings two extraordinary vocalists, Rossana Casale and Yvette Norwood-Tiger, stars of Italian and international jazz, to open and close the festival.
This will be followed by a focus on great wind instrumentalists with saxophonists Wayne Escoffery, Tim Ries (former Rolling Stones collaborator) and rising clarinet star Virginia MacDonald.
On interchange with Ontario (Canada). Hosted by the trio of double bass player and record producer Roberto Occhipinti, with Adrean Farruggia on piano and Marcello Pellitteri on drums.
An episode on the connection between classical music and jazz will be offered by Dante Milozzi's quartet, formerly first OSN RAI flute, who will present Claude Bolling's 'Suite for Flute and Jazz Piano Trio' dedicated to Jean-Pierre Rampal.
In addition to the historic venues of Piazza Conte Rosso in Avigliana - with Rossana Casale, Roberto Occhipinti trio with Tim Ries and Wayne Escoffery - and Piazza Martiri della libertà in Condove - for the "Suite for Flute and Jazz Piano Trio" performed by Dante Milozzi's quartet - the audience will return to the churchyard of San Vincenzo in Sant'Ambrogio di Torino for the concert on 26 July with Virginia MacDonald.
The festival will conclude at the evocative archaeological site of the Villa Romana in Almese with the quartet of Palm-Beach singer Yvette Norwood-Tiger.
