Torino becomes the national capital of journalism for three days: the Piemonte capital hosts the 21st National Congress of the UCSI - Italian Catholic Press Union, one of the most important events in the cultural and professional landscape of Italian information.
This is no coincidence: Torino, a city with deep civic, social, and cultural roots, and the Sermig - Arsenale della Pace, a symbolic place of solidarity, dialogue, and commitment to peace, offer the ideal setting to reflect on the meaning of reporting in a time marked by crises, conflicts, and radical transformations of the media system.
The Congress will be attended by leading figures from the Italian press, professional associations, and institutions, demonstrating the strategic importance of the event.
The distinguished lineup of speakers included:
• Vincenzo Varagona, national president of UCSI
• Carlo Bartoli, national president of the Order of Journalists
• Alessandra Costante, general secretary of the Italian National Press Federation (FNSI)
• Assunta Corbo, founder of Constructive Network
• Roberto Ginex, national president of INPGI
• Maria Grazia Villa, president of the Constructive Network Ethics Committee
• Fabio Bolzetta, president of WeCa
• Mauro Ungaro, national president of FISC
• Stefano Di Battista, president of Copercom
Torino thus confirms its position as a vibrant hub for dialogue between journalism, institutions, and civil society, in a region that has always been attentive to the issues of dignity of work, solidarity, social cohesion, and cultural innovation.
