Anemos Itinerari del Vento offers students and teachers of first and second grade secondary schools a wide choice of cycling itineraries, in Turin city, throughout Piedmont and even outside the region.
In addition to the proposals presented here, it is possible to customise routes and stages according to the needs of each individual institute.
Tours can be conducted in Italian, English, French, German or Spanish.
For school trips, Anemos staff is composed of cycling tour leaders from the Piedmont Region.
SUSA VALLEY AND MORAINE HILL OF RIVOLI
There are 3 proposed itineraries in the area west of Turin.
One itinerary includes a visit to the Benedictine Abbey of Novalesa (founded in 726), which hosts an important activity of restoring ancient books, and to the historical centre of Susa, which still retains many reminders of its Roman (amphitheatre, Arch of Augustus, wall towers, aqueduct) and medieval (Cathedral) origins.
A second tour includes a visit to Avigliana ‘s medieval town centre and interesting nature observations along the shores of Avigliana's lakes.
A third itinerary includes a ride on easy dirt roads to discover the morainic hillside and its geological features, with the possibility of a visit to Rivoli Castle.
Schools
The kilometric development and the proposed stops make each itinerary suitable to be covered without difficulty in half or a day by a group of young people (8-20 years old).
