Lidia Poët, the first woman lawyer in late 19th-century Italy, fought a long battle to see her right to practice law affirmed.
Beginning with a denied toga and ending with the National Council of Italian Women, Poët’s long life was a hymn to women’s empowerment in the round.
This itinerary will take you through the many facets of her life and of Piedmont between the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.
During this day trip we will discover some of the locations of the series, to understand how reality and fiction are not only mixed in the history of the character, but also in that of the places that served as a wonderful setting for the events of the fiction.
