Program
DAY 1
Arrival in Prali, it is said to derive its name from the term, in Alpine Occitan, "Prà," indicating the numerous meadows by which the village is surrounded.
The last municipality in Val Germanasca, it lies in a beautiful basin in which the river that gives its name to the valley and the Envie stream flow.
Accommodation in the reserved rooms.
Departure for the first bike tour.
Tour of the Borgate/Bout du Col: from Ghigo di Prali we ride up the course of the Germanasca stream, passing several hamlets and reaching the pastures of Bout du Col.
On the way back, follow a balcony path that runs along the valley to the left of the river and close the loop by climbing to the hamlet of Malzat and descending from the Baby trail.
At the end of the loop, return to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 2
Breakfast and departure for the second tour going through the history of these places, stories of farmers-miners and of almost 200 years of extraction of the famous "Bianco delle Alpi" (a rare and highly prized variety of talc) that have deeply marked this valley and the mining industry in Italy.
Bike & Mine: an exciting ride through history.
Emotions and evocative scenery, along the 2 km of the Gianna Tunnel dug by the miners of Val Germanasca in search of the world’s most valuable talc; in the heart of the mountains where the continental collision that generated the Alps is visible.
A unique and amazing experience!
