The permanent Assietta Bikepacking Trail is located in the heart of the Cottian Alps.
The Assietta Bikepacking Trail is much more than just a cycle touring route; it is an epic journey suspended between the clouds and history. Designed for fans of 'unsupported' adventure, it winds along the ridges and historic mountain passes of Europe's highest peaks. It links imposing Alpine fortifications with pristine natural landscapes and villages steeped in tradition. As you cycle through the heart of the Cottian Alps Park, you will retrace historic routes that once marked national borders, but which now unite a global community of cyclists. Every kilometre, from the vineyards and castles on the valley floor to the most spectacular heights of the Strada dell’Assietta, is an invitation to discover the area at your own pace.
