The village is located in the highest part of the Viù Valley and is surrounded by mountains, most of which are over 3,500 m high, including the Monte Lera and Rocciamelone massifs.
Here, outdoor enthusiasts can choose from skiing, ice skating, climbing and other activities. Don't miss a stop at the spectacular Lake Malciaussia and Lake Rossa, the largest in the Lanzo Valleys and a popular destination for hikers.
In the village you can visit the Old Parish Complex, with its Romanesque church dedicated to Our Lady of the Assumption, and the "Arnaldo Tazzetti" Alpine Civic Museum, which ranges from Botany to Fauna, Ethnography and Archaeology.
Every year in July, Usseglio hosts the "Mostra della Toma di Lanzo e dei Formaggi d'Alpeggio" (Lanzo and Alpine Cheeses Exhibition), which became National in 2020, with food stands, crafts, workshops, tastings, exhibitions and shows.
