The first mentions of San Secondo di Pinerolo date back to the late Middle Ages, but it was in the 18th century, after the religious wars between the Catholics and the Reformed, that the municipality began to develop in fruit growing, viticulture and terracotta (tupin) handicrafts, reaching as many as 14 manufactories in the 19th century.
In the historical centre, you can admire elegant residential buildings and the old well, which has become the symbol of the village. The parish church is a remarkable example of Piedmontese Baroque, designed by architect Giuseppe Girolamo Buniva and completed in 1773.
Also worth visiting are the 18th-century Church of the Confraternity of the Holy Trinity and the Waldensian Evangelical Temple, inaugurated in 1958. Another attraction is the Miradolo Castle, which hosts art exhibitions and is surrounded by a park of over 6 hectares.
