Arsenale Copertina

Quadrilatero, Porta Palazzo, Borgo Dora and Barriera: discover a new tour through Torino's neighbourhoods with @igerstorino and @turismotorino.

Arsenal of Peace
The Borgo Dora Artillery Arsenal remained in operation until 1862. In 1964 it was transformed by Ernesto Olivero into a place of encounter, solidarity and inclusion and is now entrusted to the young people of the @sermig_arsenaledellapace

Palatine Gate
Built in Roman times, the Porta Palatina was the northern entrance to the city. Today, it is the starting point for visiting Roman Torino and for enjoying an aperitif, a custom born in Torino about two centuries ago.

Sanctuary of the Consolata
The Sanctuary of the Consolata, has early Christian origins. In the Baroque era it was redesigned by G. Guarini and F. Juvarra. Inside there is a rich gallery of ex-votos, and in the square in front of it is the historic Caffè Al Bicerin!

The Murals of Barriera
"Habitat", the mural by @_millo_ is one of thirteen murals produced as part of the B.ART (Art in Barriera) competition, a redevelopment project by @UrbanBarriera and @CittàdiTorino. "Habitat" is part of a cycle of works reflecting on the relationship between man and city.

Docks Dora
The Docks Dora, former freight warehouses of the early 20th century in Art Nouveau style with futuristic reinforced concrete structures, decommissioned in the 1960s, are now home to cultural and commercial activities.

Borgo Dora
Antiques in Torino is tradition. There are numerous antique shops, galleries and markets offering furniture, books, works of art and antique objects. The districts where you can find them are Borgo Dora, Porta Palazzo, San Salvario, Borgo Nuovo and Borgo Po.

MAO
The MAO (Museum of Oriental Art) is housed in the historic and noble Palazzo Mazzonis in the heart of the Quadrilatero Romano. It houses collections dedicated to Oriental art with works ranging from the Neolithic to the last century. Not to be missed!

Ettore Fico Museum
The Museo Ettore Fico founded in 2014 in a former industrial site is located in the Barriera di Milano district. The museum and the Foundation host collections of young Italian and international artists and promote prestigious temporary exhibitions and cultural events

Barriera Association
Located at Via Crescentino 25, in a former industrial building, @AssociazioneBarriera was established to promote the training and growth of young artists. Among its commitments is the promotion of dialogue activities with the socio-cultural realities of the neighbourhood.
