The printing atelier of the Tallone publishing house is one of the oldest and most prestigious in the world.
In continuous operation for three centuries, it has seen eleven generations of publishers succeed one another at its helm. In 1938, Alberto Tallone bought the workshop from his master Maurice Darantière, who had printed the first edition of James Joyce's Ulysses in 1922, among many other famous works.
With a catalogue projected as much into the past as into the future, the publishing house publishes fundamental works of prose and poetry as well as a selected choice of contemporary authors, combining high typography with rigorous philological care.
