Palavela Torino

Multi-purpose Centre

The new Palavela is Gae Aulenti's reinterpretation of the Palazzo delle Mostre, known as Palazzo a Vela or Palavela (due to its distinctive shape), the building inaugurated during the celebrations for Italia '61, the centenary of the Unification of Italy, with the aim of hosting exhibitions and trade fairs.

Renovated and reinterpreted in 2004 to host the Olympic Figure Skating and Short Track competitions in Turin in 2006, it became a landmark venue for the public in Turin and its province for ice entertainment, but not only. In recent years, the Palavela has established itself as the city's premier venue for family entertainment events and activities, mainly in the field of sport, hosting major international competitions.

The Palavela is also used as a particularly evocative and logistically strategic location for galas and public shows with and without ice, as well as for corporate events, conventions, gala dinners and parties. In addition to the parterre, the structure offers a series of spaces that can be used for different types of set-ups.
