Surrounded by the old fortified ramparts (Bastion Verde and Bastion di San Maurizio), the gardens were laid out in the late seventeenth century by the landscape gardener André Le Nôtre, who also designed the gardens at Versailles.
Adorned with statues, flowerbeds andfountains (depicting Triton and sea nymphs), it’s theideal spot to enjoy a pleasant break immersed innature after visiting the apartments of Palazzo Reale.
