Philatelic exhibition
organised by CIFR (Italian Centre for Philately Resistance and Contemporary History)
in collaboration with ACTL (Association des Collection des Timbres & Seconde Guerre mondiale)
The great events of history illustrated through postage stamps, postcards, thematic covers and postal history.
The CIFR (Centro Italiano Filatelia Resistenza e Storia Contemporanea - Italian Centre for Philately, Resistance and Contemporary History) for almost 50 years has been bringing together enthusiasts of postage stamps, postal stationery, postage cancellations, maximum postcards and other collecting strands that focus on the Resistance and the Second World War up to contemporary history events.
On this occasion, it will offer themed collections on the main events in our history from 1940 to 1945 and will benefit from the collaboration of our French friends of the A.C.T.L. (Association des Collectionneurs des Timbres Libération & Seconde Guerre mondiale) who will make an international contribution to the story of our continent's history during those tragic years of conflict.
The exhibition aims to highlight how philately, by combining collecting passion with historical analysis and documentary research, can contribute to spreading knowledge of historical events.
